Today started to paint the model - Danboard Mini. I want to have a surface that close to paper carton box A colour that close to paper carton box Firstly, to get the surface roughness that I want, I sandpaper the parts to the roughness I want and start spraying. I suppose to use Mr Surfacer to create the surface roughness but I then realised I don't have Mr Surfacer 500, I only have Mr Surfacer 1000 & 1500. Then,  I mixed Tamiya Flat White, Tamiya Flat Brown and Tamiya Flat Yellow in different ratio to get the colour which close to paper carton box. Here's the result: All parts sprayed. I am happy with the end result. :)

This week I'll build a small kit from Kotobukiya - Danboard Mini. I'll update the build progress in this blog from time to time, bookmark it so you won't miss any update from us. :) To order it, click here . All the parts are cut, the next process will be sandpaper them. On and off people asks me about how to remove nub from the parts. I am not an expert on this, but to share, this is how I do normally (you may have your own better method). The key is "patient" while doing this process. :) Update 19/8/2015: Sometimes, to get a flat surface, we can sandpaper the entire part (each visible surface) instead of applying Top Coat (Flat). The key is - patient :) All parts finished sandpaper, ready to go to painting process. :)

Have not been modeling for quite some times, few days ago just try to model this kit from Kotobukiya - Danboard mini. It's a simple kit but I had a lot of fun while building it.. :) Start constructing... Just finished sand paper polishing..     Masking the eyes and mouth before spray.. Finished spray...     Done... It looks so innocent... Haha...
